As things get a little more sideways it is more important to have the ability to get home with out a vehicle. Here is a video of my get home bag. Keep in mind that yours will differ to mine especially if your location is very different.

Backpack for me. Everything is as inconspicuous as can be. I want to avoid appearing tactical. I have a water purification kit, fire starting kit, basic medical stuff, some loaded mags , leather man etc. My dog peed on it though so it stinks

I agree, but as a counter point, I need this to work and it’s hands down the best backpack I have ever owned.

Fair enough. I carry gorilla tape and zip ties just in case my gear fails…man I love that stuff

You might put the clothing in ziplocks. Dry clothes are better than wet ones. Alsogives you another container. Lifestraws don’t take up much room. Neither do a couple of glow sticks. Love the Grendel pistol.

Ok, ya talked me into it, I have a nice backpack in my camper. guess I’ll get it out tomorrow and see whats in it and maybe add some stuff to it.
